Charlotte, NC (April 23, 2009) – Robby Gordon, driver of the No. 7 Jim Beam Toyota, will pilot Chassis 209 in this weekend’s Aaron’s 499. This race car has brought much success to Gordon and his team over the last year; it posted three top-10 and four top-15 finishes in the last five restrictor-plate races. They look to build upon this success and bring home another strong finish.

“Vote for Robby” – While the team is preparing for this weekend’s 188–lap race, Jim Beam is preparing to kick off their annual “Vote for Robby” campaign, which encourages fans to vote Gordon into the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race event on May 16 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Jim Beam representatives will roam the famous infield, rousing fans to “Vote for Robby” distributing custom-designed “Vote for Robby” T-shirts and stickers.

Talladega Totals – Gordon will make his 16th Cup appearance at the 2.66-mile high banked tri-oval, where he has recorded one top-five, five top-10, and seven top-15 finishes. Gordon also captured a front-row starting spot in 2002 and has two top-10 starts prior to the wave of the green.

Talladega Talk – “We have had some good luck at Talladega lately, finishing 8th and 11th at the two races last year. We are bringing back the same car, which helps boost my confidence going into this weekend’s race. Sitting 35th in points, we really need a good run to help turn things around for us. With our Toyota-powered engine, we feel confident that we will have a good run this weekend,” commented Gordon.

Appearances – Gordon will be at the Montana Grille located at 55023 Hwy 77, Lincoln, AL 35096 on Friday, April 24th. He will sign autographs for the public from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Charlotte, NC (April 16, 2009) – The No. 7 Toyota Camry will display the familiar yellow and blue MAPEI / Menards colors for the first time this season at Phoenix International Raceway. Saturday’s Subway Fresh Fit 500 will mark Gordon’s 14th start at the ultra-fast mile oval. He owns two top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and also has one win in the CART Series at PIR.

Thoughts on Phoenix – “We are looking forward to Phoenix. We will be racing Chassis 208, which has been good to us. Having last weekend off has allowed our team to spend some additional time preparing for this weekend’s race, which is beneficial for our team. Kirk Almquist, our crew chief, has a few packages pre-fit, so we will be trying several different ideas during Friday’s two practice sessions. Phoenix has been good to me in the past; I won my first CART car race here in 1995, so I am always excited about racing at PIR.”

“We are also excited to have MAPEI return as a primary sponsor for Robby Gordon Motorsports this year. We expect good things from this car and our team for their 2009 debut this weekend,” commented Robby Gordon.

Texas Thoughts -- "We are really looking forward to the Texas race this weekend. For the first time, we will be racing a new spec car that was built at RGM from the ground up. It is the first COT chassis that we have built at our shop, so we are all excited to see how it performs this weekend especially with this year's no testing policy," commented Robby Gordon. "We had a fairly decent run at Atlanta a couple weeks ago. We took some positives out of Atlanta and hope to build upon them at Texas."

Dallas Stars Outing - Robby Gordon and his No.7 Jim Beam crew will be cheering on the Dallas Stars during their last regular season home game, Saturday, April 4. “When I heard the Stars were going to be in town Saturday, it sounded like a great way to relax after a day at the track,” said Gordon. “So I’m taking my team for a night out. I’ve always heard the Stars put on a great show, plus they are getting ready for the playoffs, so I’m looking forward to an exciting evening!”
