ROBBY GORDON

NO. 7 FRUIT OF THE LOOM CHEVROLET

QUICK FACTS – 46th COCA-COLA 600 (5/29/05)

LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY

12th event of the 36-race 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Schedule – Concord, N.C.

Fruit of the Loom and Chicago-based Wilson Sporting Goods have entered into a licensing agreement whereby the world-renowned apparel company will produce, sell and market a line of Activewear products inspired by and designed for today’s athletes. Wilson is one of the highest-rated sporting goods brands among consumers 12-65 years of age. The new Wilson Activewear line will be sold through sports specialty and mid-tier retailers throughout the United States. The Wilson logo will appear on the No. 7 Chevrolet for the remaining eight races in which Fruit of the Loom is contracted to be ROBBY GORDON’s primary sponsor this season, beginning with this weekend’s Coca Cola 600.

GORDON needs just $9,257 to pass the $15 million mark in career Cup Series winnings and would reach that milestone by merely starting Sunday’s race.

Fruit of the Loom’s next scheduled race as the primary sponsor of GORDON’s No. 7 Monte Carlo will be the Pepsi 400 on July 2 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. The company’s remaining six races will come in August at Indianapolis; September at Fontana, Calif.; in October at Talladega, Ala., and Martinsville, Va.; and November in Justin, Texas, and Avondale, Ariz.

After a slow start this season, GORDON has begun to show some consistency – running to the finish in four of his last five starts. The Fruit of the Loom Racing Team will bring back chassis No. 106 for this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600. GORDON drove it to a seventh-place finish in the NEXTEL Open. The car had been tested but never was raced before that event. GORDON battled a tight-handling chassis through the first half of the 30-lap sprint and kept a watchful eye on an overheating engine in the closing laps. The seventh-place finish matched his career best in four previous races during All-Star Weekend.

The 2005 campaign marks GORDON’s second year behind the wheel of the Fruit of the Loom Chevrolets and his fifth full season in NASCAR. Fruit of the Loom is a leading international apparel company, emphasizing branded products for consumers of all ages. The company is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and marketers of underwear, and printable T-shirts and fleece.
