SPOT SPONSORS RGM AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 19, 2009) – SPOT LLC, (www.findmespot.com) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globalstar Inc. (NASDAQ: GSAT) a leader in personal satellite messaging and emergency communications, today announced it is sponsoring the Robby Gordon Motorsports (RGM) at this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Bristol Motor Speedway – “the king of NASCAR short tracks” from March 20-22, 2009.
SPOT is the primary sponsor of Robby Gordon’s No. 7 Toyota Camry, which will be branded in SPOT’s familiar black and orange colors for the Food City 500’s racing action at Bristol Motor Speedway.
SPOT, the world’s first Satellite GPS Messenger sends the user’s GPS location and select message over a global satellite network to a group of contacts or an emergency rescue coordination center. Because SPOT uses satellite technology it works regardless of cellular service availability from virtually anywhere around the world.
“SPOT is proud to team up with Robby Gordon, a true entrepreneur, adventurist and creative force in automotive racing and one of the most versatile drivers in the entire world of motorsport,” said Tom Colby, chief operating officer of Globalstar Inc. and president of SPOT LLC. “Our growth will continue to be supported with new marketing initiatives. This partnership is an exciting opportunity to connect with NASCAR fans and increase our brand visibility in a highly relevant market. Robby’s passion, commitment and knowledge for motorsports are second to none and SPOT welcomes his enthusiasm as a brand advocate for our product.”
Robby Gordon was an early adopter of the SPOT Satellite Messenger™, using its satellite and GPS technology to stay connected with his support team, his friends and family while practicing and racing off-road, often times in extreme remote areas. SPOT enables Robby to send his GPS location and selected message to his contacts so they know he is OK. SPOT also allows others to track his GPS position updated automatically in real-time on Google Maps™.
“Partnering with SPOT at Bristol is a natural progression for our brands,” said Robby Gordon, owner and driver of RGM. “SPOT and Robby Gordon Motorsports share a common vision that is dedicated to the pursuit of adventure, exploring new possibilities and being innovative in our developments. SPOT offers cutting edge technology that is highly relevant for the active outdoor user. There isn’t a better place for us to kick things off than at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend.”
Since 2005, Robby Gordon Motorsports has been one of the most successful single car teams in NASCAR. Owned and operated by driver Robby Gordon, the organization is in its fifth year of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) competition. Robby Gordon Motorsports also competes in the Dakar Rally and the SCORE International Off-Road Racing Series, including the famous Baja 1000. Robby is currently the overall points leader in the 2009 SCORE International Off-Road Racing Series, winning the season-opening Laughlin Desert Challenge and finishing second in last weekend’s San Felipe 250.
The Food City 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Bristol Motor Speedway will be televised live on FOX this Sunday, March 22 at 1:30pm EST. For a complete weekend broadcast schedule including qualifying and practice times aired on the SPEED TV, visit http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/.
