Fontana – April 30, 2000

Fontana, CA – Fontana is always a homecoming race for California native Robby Gordon. Debuting the Universal promotional scheme for the Flintstones, Gordon qualified 29th. Throughout the afternoon Sunday he kept his Ford in the middle section of the field trying to fix a loose in, tight in the middle, loose out handling condition. The car improved two-thirds through the event, but following the last pit-stop the car’s handling went away and Gordon had to back down his charge. He finished 31st.
