Hornaday on Standby for Coca-Cola 600

Ron Hornaday, driver of the No. 2 AC Delco Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing (RCR) in the NASCAR Busch Series, will be on standby Sunday to fill in for Robby Gordon in the No. 31 Cingular Wireless Chevrolet for the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Hornaday will practice the Cingular Wireless Chevrolet Saturday for a few laps, as required by NASCAR, in the event he needs to drive the car Sunday.

Kevin Harvick and Richard Childress will accompany Gordon Thursday morning when he flies to Indianapolis for Carburetion Day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The trio will then fly back to Concord, N.C., in time for the afternoon practice for the Coca-Cola 600.
